There goes the neighborhood. Black politicos have their collective underwear in a bunch after David Yassky announced he was running for the 11th Congressional District seat, now vacated by the retiring Major Owens. For those of you who don’t know, the 11th isn’t any old district. Representing parts of Crown Heights, Flatbush and Bedford Stuyvesant, it was one of the first districts created by the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which sent Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman to Congress.
